Aamir Khan’s new movie Sitaare Zameen Par is coming to theaters on June 20. Many people were excited about the film. But now it looks like the movie might not earn much money on its first day.

A poll was done on X (Twitter). People were asked how much money the movie would make on day one. Most people around 41% said it could earn more than ₹20 crore. But trade experts say something else. They believe the movie will only earn around ₹5 to ₹6 crore on its first day.

This is much lower than Aamir’s last movie Laal Singh Chaddha. Which made ₹11.7 crore on the first day.

So why is the movie off to a slow start?

Right now, people are not booking many tickets. Only ₹1 crore has been earned from advance bookings so far. Other movies like Housefull 5 did much better before release. It made over ₹10 crore in advance ticket sales.

Experts say the movie’s trailer and songs didn’t become popular. Many people don’t understand what the film is really about. Even though Aamir gave many interviews. The story of the film is still not clear to the audience.

The movie has a big budget of ₹80 crore. That means it needs to make at least ₹100 crore in India to become a hit. A slow start makes this goal hard to reach.

But there is still hope.

The movie tells a kind and emotional story. Aamir Khan plays a basketball coach. He trains children with special needs. Genelia D’Souza is also in the film. Ten new young actors with disabilities are part of the cast too. This makes the film special and different.

Some of Aamir’s old movies like Dangal and Taare Zameen Par did not open big on the first day. But they became very successful later. People liked the stories and told others to watch them. This helped those movies grow in the second and third weeks.
